Pharune Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Pharune app. Pharune is provided by Paul Acheson (trading as Pharune) ("we", "us"). By using Pharune you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Pharune does, and doesn't do

Pharune checks messages, links, phone numbers, screenshots and photos for common signs of scams. It explains what it found and points you to official UK reporting routes.

Please read this carefully:

2. Using Pharune

You may use Pharune for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't:

3. Organisations mentioned in the app

Pharune refers to organisations such as banks, delivery companies and government bodies to explain when a message may be impersonating them. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners. Pharune isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.

4. Other apps and services

Some features open other apps or websites, such as your email app, WhatsApp, Messages, or official reporting services. We don't control those services, and their own terms apply.

5. Changes and availability

Pharune is currently provided free of charge. We may update, change or stop providing the app or any feature at any time. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you clearly before you pay, and separate terms will apply to purchases.

6. Our responsibility to you

7. Privacy

How Pharune handles information is explained in our Privacy Policy at https://pharune.com/privacy. In short: your checks happen on your phone, and we only receive something if you choose to email it to us.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Pharune at any time by deleting the app, which also deletes everything it stored on your phone.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
